After 6 months to a year in S21 prison, they were rounded up and taken here - The fields of Cheoug Ek, now known as The Killing Fields - where they were lined up and told to kneel down, hit across the back of the neck with a steel rod and then had their throats cut, before being rolled into the mass graves. They were guilty of crimes against the state like: writing, loving (families were not allowed to be together) or simply being educated. |
